Hotel Rwanda Post 2
Under the Belgium rule, the dividing of classes began the whole tension of the two groups, Hutus and Tutsis. Having to favor one more than the other, in this case Tutsis over Hutu, gave more the reason for the Hutus to hold a grudge. Once a little bit of power was earned by the Hutus, things went off like the atomic bomb. The Hutus began to rebel! Causing the split between Burundi and Rwanda. The split did little help, only caused the Tutsis to get killed when trying to escape the the dominant Tutsis rule, Burundi. Rwanda's chaos dragged on. It seems as if once aid is called upon, the more massacres the Hutus have. By the year of 1994, everything exploded. The president was killed and that left the vaccant spot of rule open. Power is a very dangerous thing. One needs to have some in order to keep others in check. But when the scale is off balance, and one gets more than the other, the strain begins. For once the weaker side takes just one sliver, everything would be off the scale. Power begin held by a people that have been beaten down to the bottom leads mainly to dictatorial rule which leads to killings, which possible/most likely leads to war.
